NWTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit trail stewardship organization located in Portland OR.
They sustainably steward trails within roughly a 60 mile radius extending from the Oregon coast, into parts of Southern Washington’s Gifford Pinchot National Forest and Mount St Helens National Monument, and to the Western foothills of Mount Hood National Forest. They work with approximately 10 federal, state, county, and municipal land management agencies, as well as private land managers.
They provide educational trail stewardship and mountain bike programming for members and local communities to increase access to the outdoors through all types of off-road cycling.
A lifelong mountain biker and natural teacher, Robbie has been building community and coaching in the PNW for many years. His unique airbag and ramp jump set up is the perfect place to improve your mountain bike skills in a fun, safe environment!

Robbie teaches the distilled fundamentals of mountain bike riding, uniquely shaping his approach to relate to any student. With an iron clad understanding of perfect form, coach Robbie addresses fear, self talk, and progression in a safe and controlled setting.

Warm and welcoming, Robbie loves to engage with the MTB community. Perhaps you’ve met him while out riding your bike, working on his flow or building trail. Connecting with his audience is where his talent and passion lay. His accommodating and patient nature helps to create a meaningful lesson that is perfect for you- whatever your age or ability.

Sandy Ridge is a gem of 15 miles of well-built and maintained trails on the way from Portland to Mt. Hood. Loops have riders climb the paved road (gated to cars) and descent on singletrack. Sandy holds up well in the rain and can be ridden year-round. There are trails for all skill levels from green for children, beginners, or those who prefer an easy ride; to double blacks for experts looking for technical descents or big jump lines.
